What Causes Bump And Swelling On Lip?

I have a noticeable lighter than my skin tone bump on my lip. This is the first time it has happened and it came on suddenly. I was taking a nap and woke up with half of my upper lip swollen and this bump on my lip. It does not hurt and my lip is no longer swollen, but the bump is still there. It happened on 12/29/2015 and I just want to know what it could be.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain a bump on the lip that occurred suddenly and are caused swollen lip that subsided seems to be due to either any bug bite or allergic reaction to any food or medicine..

As it is not painful and the swelling has also subsided you need not to worry as it does not seems serious..
You can do cool compresses over it..

Take anti allergics like Benadryl or Levocetrizine to reduce the bump faster..
In case if there is any pain or discharge consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and he can advise you treatment according to the cause..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
