What Causes Bump On Inner Thigh?

I have a bump, about pea size, on my inner thigh. It s been there for a year. I went to a dermatologist and he assumed it is just blood pooling under the skin, nothing to be concerned about . He didn t really have an answer as to why this would happen and wasn t concerned about it, watch it and come back if it gets any bigger. I ve been thinking about going somewhere for a second opinion, I just don t feel right about the way he diagnosed this, squeezed it and moved it around with his fingers and that was it. Is this something I should be concerned about?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If you are still concerned then you should get a second opinion.

It would relieve your mind if you are reviewed.

Dermatology is visual and also involves palpation of the area so the second doctor would also look at the lesion and would need to palpate it to get an idea of size, mobility, tenderness, consistency (firm/hard/soft), shape, increased warmth.

The diagnosis would be based on this assessment.

I hope this helps
