Hey, this is kind of embarrassing but a couple days ago I had this bump on my lower vagina and I tried popping it because it hurt and it was bothering me. But it got worst, now it looks kind of like a yellow pothole with yellow puss type . I had un protected sex and that s when the bump came, i m wondering if there is any kind of way to get rid of it or I caught something
You seem to have developed Bartholin's abscess after the sex.
Just under the Labia majora, Bartholin's glands are situated. Usually Bartholin's abscess is due to sexually transmitted infection like Gonorrhoea and/or Chlamydia. Once the abscess is formed, it needs incision and marsupialization where the edges are everted and sutured to prevent reformation of the abscess.
For the infection, along with, you will have to take a course of appropriate antibiotics. Since it is a sexually transmitted infection, both the partners should take the treatment simultaneously and observe sexual abstinence till both of you are declared cured of the infection.
