What Causes Bumps Around Stitched Area On Lips?

Hi, I was recently on vacation and got into a horrible accident. I had to get about 20 stitches in my mouth (on my lips). Now a bump on my bottom lip, on the inside right over the area where my stitches were. I also have two on the top lip inside the skin, I can feel them like they re two small balls. I forgot to mention my Stiches are out.

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

It looks like due to injury there has been hematoma formation that is due to accumulation of blood in the tissues causing hematoma formation leading to small bumps..

It can take some time for the bumps to resolve so do not worry about it..

You can do alternate warm and cool compresses over the bumps..

In case if the bumps does not reduce in size or if the bumps increase in size you can consult an Oral Physician and get checked..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
