Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For four days, I ve had tiny clear bumps over my top and bottom lips. They are very dry, rough, and peel frequently. The taste is similar to when I had poison ivy in my mouth. I dont have a rash anywhere else and it does not itch. Today it seems like I may have some bumps on the roof of my mouth. The only irregular things I ve done lately are: Use a shampoo sample I found under my sink Eat mangos, which I ve never had before Eat Wasabi Ginger chips And consume more Apple cider vinegar and cranberry juice than usual I ve never had a cold sore before, and have not shared anything with anyone in a way that I feel could pass on the virus.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain clear tiny bumps on the upper and lower lips along with bumps on the roof of mouth can be due to causes which are common with such symptoms like it can be due to allergic reaction to any foods that you have taken while it can also be due to any medication.. It can also be due to viral infection caused by herpes simplex virus causing cold sores.. But you need a confirmatory clinical examination and investigation done like oral swab culture, blood tests etc to confirm the diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.. In case of viral infection you can be advised anti-viral medications like Acyclovir, Valacyclovir etc.. In case of allergies the best way to prevent recurrence of symptoms is to avoid exposure to the allergen.. You can also be advised anti-viral medications like Levocetrizine, Allegra etc.. Do warm saline gargles..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
