Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, a few days ago my 12 month old baby boy developed little bumps on his face, he doesn t scratch them and now they ve turned into little sore like dota with black in the middle. He has had no rashes on his face until now....... What could this be?
From the history you have given about skin condition. Two possibilities are there.
1. It must be some bacterial infection which can be treated with some antibiotic.
2. It may be a condition named sebaceous cyst which means blocked and hardened sebum gland in skin which will have characteristic black dot in middle on a skin bump. If it is so it may need small surgical procedure.
So please consult a paediatrician or dermatologist to decide what is the condition accurately.
Hope your doubt is clarified. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Sagar
