What Causes Bumps On The Labia Majora?

I have bumps on my labia majora. They aren't painful (they aren't red either) and my husband says they have always been there but I'm not so sure. The only person I have ever had any sexual contact with is my husband. As far as I know the same for him (unless he has cheated). I get a pap every year but I can't remember if they were there this last time! Should I be concerned?
