What Causes Bumps On The Tongue, Swollen Lymph Nodes, And Thick Saliva?

What causes bumps on the tongue, swollen lymph nodes , and thick saliva? I have a very small, somewhat white bump on the tip of my tongue and pain in the center of the tongue. Also my lymph nodes are painfully swollen, and my saliva feels thick and mucussy. Could this be due to alcohol? What is it?

Hi,alle you might having infected cyst.This cyst are not uncommon and when infected can present like this.When they get ruptured due to any reason they subside and almost disappear.You also might have along with this some vitamin deficiency.please get in touch with your doctor and get examined.bye and take care.

The bumps over the tongue are known as hypertrophied lingual tonsils. These are the lymphoid follicles just like the tonsils and the lymph nodes. These enlarge during an attack of the infection or any inflammatory conditions of the tongue. You need to drink plenty of warm water, do gargles with povidone iodine. and take paracetamol to reduce the pain. If the pain persists consult a good ENT specialist, the doctor might advice antibiotics for the same.
