What Causes Burning And Itching In A Lump On The Back Of The Head?

Hi,I have a lump on the back of my head, about 3 months and more now. It burns, I get headaches, and it itches if touched. I am sometimes nauseas. I have taken medication 2 times for lymph nodes being enlarged (doctors assumption). He says he cannot feel the lump I have but just gave me them any ways. They did not help in any way.I am not sure what it is, please help me.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms are probably related to an infection.

As you are complaining of itching the infection may be bacterial or fungal.

A proper anti-fungal cream should be applied to treat the symptoms.

You can also use Cetirizine to relieve the itching.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
