What Causes Burning And Itching Sensation In The Clitoris?

I am a female, over 65 and have a burning itching around my clitoris and the skin appears to be white. I am not particularly sexually active. It began when I was using Poise on a daily basis for occasional leaks. I haven t used pads now for a few weeks and am using an over the counter cortisone based cream which seems to help somewhat but the condition persists.

Hi,

Chlamydia, genital herpes, genital warts, trichomoniasis, gonorrhea and other organisms can cause vaginal/vulvar itching and irritation and other symptoms. Yeast infection (vaginal candidiasis). About three out of every four women will develop a yeast infection at some point in their lives.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
