What Causes Burning And Itching While Urinating After Using VCF Contraceptive Film?
I used VCF contraceptive film for the first time this past week. After the first time, I may have felt some symptoms, but it was after the second time, Wednesday night, that I started experiencing strong burning and itching while urinating. It s really painful-not getting better-and it s already Sunday. Do you think this is just a bad effect of the VCF or is it an infection? Thanks.
hello, i can understand your concern. vaginal contraceptive film contains nonoxynol9 which is a effective spermicide. it does produce side effects like vaginal burning, itching ,dryness, irritation of vagina in some individuals. this should subside on its own. this does mimic like a urinary tract infection. i would advise you to not to use the vaginal contraceptive film next time and watch for the effects. if the problem persists consult a gynecologist for an examination. drink plenty of fluids. hope i have answered your concerns. feel free to ask further queries thanks for choosing HCM.
