What Causes Burning And Stabbing Pain In The Thighs?
What would cause a burning stabbing pain in both my outer thighs? I already know I have lower lumbar arthritis & a ruptured disc in the lower part of spine. It is getting hard for me to get up and walk after sitting down. Even at night while sleeping, the pain will wake me up. The pain actually goes into my knees at night while sleeping.

It could be a neuropathic pain like sciatica.
You can take analgesics like tramadol for pain relief. If symptoms persists you can go for drugs like gabapentin.
If symptoms persists you can consult a neurologist and get evaluated.
