What Causes Burning Face And Swelled Eyes In Welding Worker?

Hello, my usband is a welding working in St Thomas USVI, I am here in Fla, he called, something is burning his face, thinks its the paint on the steel he is working wish, what can he was his face with, says his eyes r almost swelled shut, everyone around him has the same problem

Hi,


You seem to have developed an allergic skin disease.
You should avoid applying any kind of skin irritants like dettol, spirit over it.

You might need to apply a topical steroid cream over the affected area twice a day for few days.
Take some oral antihistamines along.
See a nearby dermatologist if the condition tends to persist despite this therapy.
You might need a course of oral steroids.
