What Causes Burning In Nose With Dripping Of Clear Secretions?

I was cleaning my shower with clorox cleanup and the smell of the fumes were horrible after I was finished. Today, I woke up with a head cold that has progressively worsened. My nose burns and is constantly dripping with clear secretions and my eyes are watery. My throat is also irritated. The symptoms resemble allergies, but I am 42 and have NEVER had problems with allergies. Could this be due to the clorox inhalation or is it just a coincidence and I probably have a cold. If due to the clorox, should I be worried. It has been about 36 hours since breathing in the fumes.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your complain it seems that the symptoms of head cold, burning nose, clear fluid dripping down the nostril and watery eyes and nose seems to be due to allergic rhinitis and it can be due to causes like allergic reaction to irritants like pollen, animal danders, dust and mites and at times even certain trees and grasses..
It can also be due to irritation with the Clorox fumes causing irritation to nose and sinuses.
I would suggest you to consult an Emergency room and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like allergic tests can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can also take anti allergics like Levocetrizine, Allegra etc along with steroid nasal sprays to relieve the symptoms..
Do steam inhalations..
