What Causes Burning Inside The Vagina During 37 Weeks Pregnancy?

I m 37 weeks pregnant and for the last couple of days I have noticed and increase in groin pain. I have also notice a burning/stinging feeling inside my vagina (I am guessing that it s my cervix). I don t seem to be having really any contractions I feel, just back pain that has been coming and going. Should I be concerned at all?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I feel it's decend of fetal head causing pressure on nerves suplying vagina that causes you the symptom.

But before being relaxed, please consider the feel due to vaginal trichomonas infection which also has white discharge and itching(excessive itching can give you burning sensation.

Consult your gynacologist to confirm&get necessery treatment if it's infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
