What Causes Burning Pain In Left Side Of Chest Post Recovery From Salmonella?
I had salmonella a few weeks ago and was in hospital on IV s for a while and strong antibiotic IV s. The sent me home still on antibiotics. They said I had been dehydrated from the vomiting and diarrhea, Said I also had acute kidney failure and colitis. Mow in evenings when I lay down, I get strong burning pains in my left side up to the center of my chest. Burping. I have tried heat , ice, tagament, peptobismol and tums. . It last several hrs and even drinking water is painful. Who do I need to see?
You can have gastritis like inflammation of gastric mucosa. It can lead to acid reflux and so burning pain can occur. I suggest you to take rabeprazole like antacid after consulting your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
