What Causes Burning Pain In The Leg After A Fall?

INJURED ANKLE YESTERDAY WHEN I HOPPED OVER A PUDDLE, MY ANKLE ROLLED UNDER AS I LANDED AND AFTERWARDS I HAD A BURNING PAIN UP THE OUTSIDE OF MY LEG. NOW IT STILL HURTS ALMOST CONTINUALLY. HAVE BEEN SITTING WITH IT ELEVATED AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. TAKING iBUPROFEN, BUT OTHER MEDICAL CONDITIONS MAKE IT HARD TO TELL HOW MUCH SWELLING IS PRESENT AND HOW MUCH IS JUST FLUID RETENTION.
