What Causes Burning Pain On Right Side And Lower Stomach?

hello sir/madam
i am a male, 48, 5'9", 166 lbs, vegetarian, no medical hsitory per se but do admit to being a regular/heavy drinker for 30 years...i just went through a binge wherein i didn't eat properly for 3 days and woke in the middle of the night with severe burning pains in my right side, where my lower stomach felt tight and inflamed...for the past 2 days, i have been resting but also taking much ibuprofen for the discomfort...drinking water now and cranberry juice and papaya seeds and considering going to the hospital...for now, the pain is in check but i am worried it might be serious...any advice?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
hi dear,
you are chronic drinker and you have pain in right stomach it may be due to gastritis or acidity. and if you take ibuprofen then it may worsen so don't take it.
do ultrsonography of abdomen to rule out any drinking related damage to liver which may also cause pain.
quit alcohol as all the symptoms is due to alcohol drinking.
consult psychiatrist to quit alcohol and also physician if any sonography abnormality is there.
Thank you
