Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Burning Sensation Above Belly Button After An Injury?
My husband fell from a 7 ft roof back first onto a ladder. I took him to the ER where they gave him a CAT scan. They told us he was very lucky that nothing ended up being broken nor any organs damaged. They sent him home with a muscle relaxer and pain medication. He has now developed a burning sensation above his belly button that is causing him pain. Could the ER have missed something?
The symptoms seem to be related to the injury. If your husband has already done an ultrasound and has excluded probable issues from the injury, you should not be worried. I suggest to continue using the muscle relaxant.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
