What Causes Burning Sensation And Frequent Urge To Urinate Post TURP Surgery?

I had TURP surgery one month ago. The bleeding and dribbling have subsided significantly. However, I now have burning and feeling that I must urinate frequently, much like I did before TURP. Is this normal after TURP? if so, when can I expect this discomfort go away?
