What Causes Burning Sensation And Itching In The Vagina?

Hi, so last week on Tuesday I got my period, on Wednesday I slept with my boyfriend (unprotected sex) and about two days later I noticed I was burning down there with a slight itch. Yesterday symptoms got worse and I noticed a combination of small red sores and and medium sized white sores. The odd this is, it’s on one side of the vulva and is not affecting the actual vagina. I’ve come to the possibility of either genital herpes or ingrown hairs but not all symptoms add up to be either one. This rash/sores Are quite painful and tender to touch
