What Causes Burning Sensation And Numbness In Toes?

I have had numbness in both feet (toes mainly) for a couple of years. I have seen my primary physician who put me on the B vits which seem to help the burning sensation that was there also, however the numbness is there all the time. I have seen the orthopedic surgeon who did a neck fusion about 4 years ago, more recently I have seen a neurologist. It feels like I am walking on rocks and a wrinkle in my sock feels like a rope.
