What Causes Burning Sensation And Pain At Vaginal Opening Upon Penetration?

The last year and a half I had had discomfort when my boyfriend puts his penus inside me. I ve not seen him for 3 months now yet we had sex and still the same pain. It s right at the entry and it s a burning sensation. Once he is in i don t feel it? Could it be the tampons I use? I ve been checked out for std s and have always come back clear?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Tampons can give irritation. Avoid tampons and see whether it is improving. It is better to rule out endometriosis by having a pelvic examination by gynecologist. Swab test should be done to rule out yeast infection. In case that applying clotrimazole cream ( monistat ) locally will be helpful.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
