Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
The outside ligament behind my knee burns to the touch and sometimes when I bend it. Then it may become somewhat numb feeling in that area. I have been running and it doesn t hurt or bother me when I do. I was wondering what it might be and what I can do to promote healing.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Varinder's Response
Hi,
You are not having arthritis as there is no discomfort while running etc.
It is a ligament problem and the best way to diagnose it is by MRI knee joint.
After that, your further course of action can be decided.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi, General & Family Physician
