What Causes Burning Sensation Below Penis While Having Crohn S And Internal Hemorrhoids?

my husband has crohn and also has internal hemmoroids, once in a while when the hemmoroids act up he goes through a lot of weird pain and also a burning sensation on the underneath of penis,, what can cause that to happen,, he says it hurts pretty bad

Hello and welcome.

The phenomenon he experiences is due to the compression or irritation the inflammation around the anal canal can cause to the same blood vessels innervating the region of the tip of the penis, thus causing the region to feel a burning pain.

I would also like to emphasize on the technique used to clean the anal region at this time and even otherwise. Please make sure he follows a back to front direction of cleaning, in order to be extra careful not to transmit on any micro-organisms from the anal region to the genital region that can result in infections and also cause a burning sensation.
