General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Some ear drops will make your ear burn or sting when they're first put in. Typically, that's not a cause for concern. However, if the discomfort doesn't go away in 10 to 15 min you can give your daughter a painkiller such as Tylenol to relieve the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
