What Causes Burning Sensation In Ears While On Antibiotic Treatment For Ear Pain?
Hi Doctor, My daughter is 2.11 years old. She had a ear pain on her left ear twice within 10 days. Doctor Adviced to give him Candibiotic Ear Drops. 2 drops 4 times daily for 7 days. But she is having burning sensation whenever we are appling. It is only 2 days we have applied. should we stop.

Noted the short history about your 2.11 years old daughter who is having pain in left ear twice in 10 days and Doctor prescribed hre Candibiotic ear drops 2 drops 4 times daily but she gets burning sensation in ear on insufflation of ear drops.
This indicates that either the diagnosis of ear pain is not established well or the Canbiotic is not suitable for her ears as the skin is very tender in kids.
Hence I would advise you the following:
First of all, stop using Candibiotic.
Consult an ENT Surgeon for proper endoscopy of ENT to know the exact cause so that a proper management in the form of antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, oral steroid if there is no fungal infection can help the child to heal well without any additional burning due to ear drops.
Only few specific ear problems need any ear drops, for example pure antifungal for fungal infection, Soliwax like things if there is impacted wax, rest of the conditions need a specific oral treatment.
