General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

This burning sensations over nostrils, dry mucus with fever could be allergic rhinitis or sinusitis.

You should do some routine blood tests to rule out infection.

I would advice you to use saline nasal drops , 2 drops 5-6 times a day to keep the nose moist.

You can also take in steam inhalation 2-3 times a day to reduce the congestion and open the nose.

Please ask your doctor to prescribe an antihistamine for you , to reduce the running nose and tab paracetamol 500 mg as and when required basis for fever.

As this is a temporary phenomenon and will reduce in 3-4 days,so no need to worry much.

Regards,
