What Causes Burning Sensation In Penis With Bleeding?
About a month ago I woke and when I went to the bathroom to urinate had blood coming out. No pain, no burning just some blood and clotting . That lasted all day. That was over Christmas holidays. On the 29th of Dec. I called the doctor because I was having a burning close to the end of my penis not when urinating but all the time. The doctor put me on a sulphur drug. That didn t help so put me on another antibiotic. That helped but now I have this external warm burning sensation and sometimes it travels down to my scrodum. The pain feels like a menthol type burning. I was given a cream Mupirocin 2% seemed to help . that was on Monday 3 days ago and it feels like it is not getting any better. Any suggestions???
Hello and welcome to HCM, Painless bleeding from penile urethra could be due to trauma to the urethra. Is there any history of trauma to pelvic or perineal region> Burning sensation near to tip of penis is suggest of infection in the urethra. Antibiotic will help to control infection. If the burning sensation does not disappear even after continuing antibiotics, you need to consult your treating doctor. If the painless bleeding is also continuing, you need to consult your urologist for clinical assessment and relevant investigations.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
