What Causes Burning Sensation In The Arms?

Hello on June 17 I came in contact with poison sumac and I got blisters and infections that were oozing all over my arms. I went to dermatalogist on 5 days later (arms still oozzing) and she gave me cream to put on (it was nemcy,,,can t remember name of cream). My arms kept burning and finally went to urgent care on June 25 (8 days later) as it was spreading a little. Doctor put me on prednisone 10 mg 5 pills daily for 5 days then 4 pills for 4 days then 3 then 2 then 1, also I was put on cephalexin 500 mg 3 times daily for 7 days. The burning has stopped only a little itching. I am afraid I am going to be left with horrible scars, any advice.

Hi,

Burning sensation in arm is caused by peripheral neuropathy.
You can take Pregabalin tables for 3 weeks. Also, do EMG test.

Hope I have answered your query.
