What Causes Burning Sensation In The Eyes After Using Tobramycin Drops?

I was prescribed Tobramycin -dexamethopth suspension. 1 drop every 6 hrs. I have only used it once and feel no relief whatsoever. Every time I close my eye it burns and feels like something is in my eye. It hurts to close my eye and tears flow from my eye when I do close it. When should I expect to feel some relief. I am miserable.
