What Causes Burning Sensation In The Knees?

After Mowing our yard a day or two later both my knees have had a burning sensation. I am 58 year old woman. I do exercise a bit and walk a two mile stretch regularly. I am curious what could cause this burning and weak feelings in my knees. Thanks kathy

Hello,

Since you are having burning sensation in the knees after mowing it is due to inflammation of the patellar tendon(tendonitis). It can be due to overuse injury(chondromalacia/PFS).

You can take NSAIDs, Naproxen, one sos when needed. You can also take Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen, it is equally effective.

Apply pain-relieving ointments/sprays topically for relieve. Give your knee & leg rest. It should go away in a couple of days.

However, you are suggested to get clinically assessed by a GP. Get Blood & Imaging tests done to rule out RA & OA.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
