What Causes Burning Sensation In The Lower Abdomen?

Went to Colorado in December. Came down with two-day fever. Haven t felt right since, with symptoms coming and going: Right now have very sore tongue with ridges. Throat is sore most of the time and sometimes I make an involuntary clicking or whistling. Stomach below sternum burning and I vomit in quanity when I go to sleep. Some joints are stiff. Have off and on headaches for which I saw ENT and he said it was nothing. Always an overall feeling of not feeling well.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I feel you are having gastritis or aid peptic disease. You need to follow some lifestyle tips such as:

1. Do not eat spicy food.
2. Take medications for gastritis- Pantop/Omez/Rantac.
3. Take little food at frequent intervals. Breakfast around 8am, small snack at 11am, lunch at 1pm, small snack at 4pm and dinner at 8pm.
4. Drink plenty of water.
5. Avoid smoking, alcohol, tobacco and excess of coffee and tea.
6. Do not take much of stress. Stress aggravates gastritis.
7. Do regular exercises. At least half an hour per day.
8. Learn meditation techniques
9. Follow this regularly for 21 days. It is said that anything you practice regularly for 21 days becomes a habit

I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have any further questions.
Regards,
Dr. Sanjay Kini
