Hi,

Noted your short and specific history of developing welt after using waist belt for hanging belly. Has pain and taking Ibuprofen for the same but burning feeling is constantly there.
The type of pain differentiates the causes.
Like in your care the welt appeared after suing belt.
It would have been really very tight so that the welt appeared.
Burning sensation indicates nerve pinching and may take some time to resolve.
You may please consult your Doctor if the pain is unlearable so that a clinical evaluation can be done to get a proper clinical diagnosis.
This will allow the proper management if needed.
Sometimes medicines that reduce the nerve pain like Amitryptiline can helps to alleviate the pain.
Also stop using the belt.
Use loose pants and underwear.
Many a times the elastic in the underwear can react with the sweat which could not be escaped due to tightness of belt and thus cause symptoms. If this is the case then you have to use ear anything that does not have elastic.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
