What Causes Burning Sensation In The Stomach, Burping And Vomiting Of Brown Bile?

Last night around 11 I reheated a burger I got from sonic earlier that day. I ate it and went to sleep around 11:30 or midnight. Throughout the day I had stomach burn with some reflux but it wasn t too bad. However I woke up at 4 am with bad burning in my stomach and burping would bring up acid so I figured I just needed to vomit. I go outside and do the deed. It was quite a bit of bile (yellowish and VERY sour and acidic) and pieces of tomatoes, onions, and some potatoes from the fries. However as I kept vomiting it turned to brown. A lot of brown and still a bit acidic. I threw up some minutes ago and it was mostly water with brown mucusy pieces and more potatoe pieces from fries and no longer acidic or sour tasting. Every where I looked said it was blood and it s got me freaked out. I guess my question is was this due to me not handling a burger or am I bleeding in my stomach?

Hello,

It could be due to severe gastritis. If symptoms persist you can consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated. As of now, antacids like Pantoprazole or Omeprazole can be taken for symptomatic relief.
