What Causes Burning Sensation In The Stomach?

I ve had mid epigastric burning with & without eating, but worse after eating, for over 5 weeks. I ve been on Omeprazole, Zantac, carafate, & now dexilant. CT of abdomen & pelvis were normal. Have endoscopy next week. The weirdest thing is that the burning only starts when I sit down or lie down...no matter how long I stand up and walk around after eating. None of these meds have helped much. Any ideas?

Hi,

It could be due to acid reflux.
-Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) happens when stomach acid flows back into your esophagus
-Gastritis
-H. pylori infection
-Ulcers
-Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
-Indigestion
-Medications.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
