What Causes Burning Sensation In The Vagina After A Hysteroscopy?

I had a hysteroscopy with a d and c this morning. It has been over 12 hours since the surgery. I am experiencing burning in my vagina that super intensifies when I urinate. Is this common and how long does it take to go away? I am 59 post menopausal, thanks for the help.

Hi,

As per my clinical experience assisting surgeons and gynecologists, I can say that burning in vagina is normal for a period of 24 hours post hysteroscopy procedure.

Intake of antibiotic, anti inflammatory medicines as Ibuprofen or else, plenty of liquids and sitz bath with gentian violet will help to recover faster way.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
