What Causes Burning Sensation In The Vagina During Intercourse?

Hi I have a very odd and uncomfortable sensation at the opening and just inside my vagina. It almost feels as though there s something inside me but when I look and touch there isn t. I also has an extreme burning sensation during sex afew days after this feeling started. My discharge is rather this and water but not necessarily an overpowering smell. I have taken yeast infection medication but it s not helped the feeling. Can you tell me whether this is more like B.V or some sort of STI symptoms?

Hello,
Though burning sensation with or without associated vaginal discharge suggests infection, arbitrary self-medication is not at all advisable. Dryness of the vagina can also be a factor contributing to the discomfort felt during intercourse. You need to have a speculum examination and get a vaginal and cervical swab to know the exact cause. At the same time local examination also can be made visually. Do not use tampons during periods. Use napkins instead. Hope this helps.
