What Causes Burning Sensation In The Vagina?

I m having a burning sensation on my vagina area. My primary care doctor told me that s normal as long as I don t have other syptoms with it. What could be causing this? Could it be my hemorrhoids? I didn t have any problem before with my hemorrhoids. Should I get a second opinon?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Burning sensation could be due to contact dermatitis/chemical burn, atrophic vaginits/estrogen deficinecy, vaginal infection.
Haemorrhoids can not cause burning sensation.
I would suggest to consult the gynecologist and undergo vaginal examination, swab test and urine tests to confirm the disease.Treatment will depend on the cause.
Meanwhile take following advises:
Apply vagisil cream
Wash vagina with warm salted water and then apply apple cidar vinegar
Put lactobacillus suppository
Wear pure cotton loose inner
Maintain proper pelvic hygiene by using V vaginal plus wash.
Avoid perfumed cosmetics and soap.
Drink plenty of water and take healthy diet.
Hope this may help you
Best regards
