Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms you told that you had just a little burning after eating the starburst mini then it is not necessarily due to an allergic reaction as slight burning with any sour component containing candy or taffy can lead to slight tingling or burning of tongue if there is any mild abrasion over tongue which can commonly occur with any hard food or at times burning with hot food.

If there is recurring episodes of burning in future by eating the same the probably the chances are there that it is due to allergic reaction..
As of now does not seems like allergic reaction and need not worry about it.

If still there is burning sensation you can gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine and suck ice to relieve inflammation..
You can also limit the intake of the candies..
Avoid spicy food to prevent further irritation..
Drink plenty of cool water..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
