What Causes Burning Sensation In Upper Lip Radiating To Eyes?

My brother-in-law was admitted to the hospital today for the second time in a month. He has Addison s Disease and is treated by numerous medication. The presenting symptoms of these last two episodes have been identical. Starts with burning upper lip, the extreme burning moves to the eyes, then ringing in ears, numbness on right side of face, tingling in right arm and leg. The first episode he had slurred speech briefly. It appears to be TIAs but CT and MRI are inconclusive. Just a side note: he started taking DHEA supplement 6 months ago by doctor s recommendation. Buys the supplement at the local drugstore. Doctors are mystified.

The symptoms you refer to about burning/ tingling sensation on right side of your body-needs to be investigated.
The causes for such complaint range from- prolonged pressure to spinal nerves, blood circulation disorders, Vitamin deficiencies, metabolic conditions like thyroid problems/ diabetes ( which can acompany Addison's disease.
All these conditions need to be scrutinized /investigated along with detailed neurological study.You are therefore advised to consult a Nuro physician/ endocrinologist to seek expert advise.
