General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Burning sensation during intercourse could be due to side effect of the depo shot, vaginal infection.
I would suggest to consult the gynecologist and undergo vaginal examination and vaginal swab test to confirm the cause.
Infection require antibiotic/antifungal and lactobacilli suppository
Maintain proper pelvic hygiene by using v vaginal plus wash
Wash vagina with warm salted water after and before the sexual intercourse.
Drink plenty of fluids and juice of cranberry, orange and pineapple
Use water based K-Y gel during the sexual intercourse.
If problem persists then consult the gynecologist and change your contraception
Hope this may help you
