HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If it was related to the detergent then it should affect other areas of the skin that are in contact with your clothes.
The discomfort should not be limited to one area.

It is likely related to peripheral neuropathy of the nerves of this area. Peripheral neuropathy is abnormal structure or function of the nerves.

It can be due to: (1) vitamin b12 or folate deficiency
(2) trauma
(3)diabetes
(4)liver or kidney disease
(5)exposure to toxins
(6)autoimmune disease
(7)thyroid disease

It would be best to see your doctor for assessment.

I hope this helps
