Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Burning Sensation On The Achilles Tendon And The Knees?
I have been experiencing a burning sensation on my achilles tendon and knee on same leg for 5-6 weeks. After sleeping or sitting my tendon stiffens up, but after walking around for a couple of minutes it seems fine. Both areas have a specific spot that feels like a burning bruise.
It’s common for this tendon to get injured. It can be mild or moderate and feel like a burning pain or stiffness in that part of your leg. If the pain is severe, your Achilles tendon may be partly torn or completely ruptured. Take an appointment with your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
