General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* As per my surgical experience, the costochondritis is known to give rise to referred pain in the concerned intercostal spaces with burning over back.

* Chills with sweating can be part of systemic inflammatory response to the same.

* In our clinic, I recommend anti inflammatory medicines with specific neuronal molecules as methylcobalamin and other supportive agents to sooth the condition faster.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
