What Causes Burning Sensation On The Buttocks?

Thank you for your assistance. Today I noticed an intense heat sensation in my left buttock. The sensation feels almost as if someone is pouring water very hot down into my left buttock and I can almost feel a sensation as if it is pooling. Again, it feels as if it is a hot liquid pouring into my left buttock. I really don t know how else to describe it. I ve had no recent injuries, strains, etc., whatsoever. Any thought on this would be much appreciated.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It sounds like a sciatica nerve pain running down from your hip to the leg. I suggest you visit the orthopedic surgeon who would examine you further and give appropriate guidance regarding the same.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
