What Causes Burning Sensation On The Lips?

My lips are burning almost like what would happen when your lips get sun burnt but they look like I applied red lipstick then took it off and it stained my lips. Like they aren't cracked they are super smooth but the redness comes from the center of my lips and kind of pans out but there is not redness around them

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

It looks like your lips are inflamed causing redness and burning sensation..
It can be due to allergic reaction, sun burn, infection, chapping and dryness, nutritional deficiency etc..
So my suggestion is to consult an Emergency room and get the exact cause ruled out..

For now do cool compresses over the lips..

Take Multivitamin tablet daily..

Apply thick coat of petroleum jelly over the lips..

Avoid licking or sucking the lips as it further evaporates moisture from the lips..

Chilled aloevera gel can help in reducing burning and inflammation..

Avoid exposing the lips to very cold or dry hot air and string sunlight as it can increase inflammation and irritation..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
