Brief answer:
BURNING MOUTH SYNDROME..
Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your health query and can very well understand your health concerns..
As per your complain and presentation of symptoms it seems to be Burning mouth syndrome in which there is burning sensation of mucous membranes of mouth more commonly tongue and roof of mouth although it can involve other areas also like inner cheeks, inner lips etc..
There can be a number of causes like
dry mouth,
acid reflux,hormonal changes like
hypothyroidism,
uncontrolled diabetes, infections like thrush, medications like those control
high blood pressure, autoimmune diseases such as Sjogren's Syndrome,
nutritional deficiency like Iron, Vitamin B etc..
At times it occurs due without any underlying cause..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral pathologist and get evaluated for the exact underlying cause..
You can suck on ice pops for relief..
Gargle with ice cold water.
In case if there is dry mouth saliva substitutes containing methyl cellulose can help..
Saliva stimulants like Sour candies, sugar free chewing gums and lemon drops can help in stimulating saliva flow..
Drink plenty of water to maintain hydration..
In case if any other cause is ruled out correction with the same can provide relief..
Hope you get well soon..
