What Causes Burning Sensation On The Roof Of The Mouth Along With Headaches?

I have a burning sensation in the roof of my mouth and with it a headache. I just finished a course of antibiotic for kidney infection last week and wonder if this has anything to do with it. I don't have any mouth ulcers. Can you advise me please.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain burning sensation in the roof of mouth can be due to causes like throat infection, post nasal drip, acid reflux, stomatitis, side effects of medicines, dry mouth etc..
As you were on antibiotics, side effects caused due to it can also be a cause..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
As of now you can gargle with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine..
You can take anti-inflammatoru painkiller like Ibuprofen..
Take anti allergics like Levocetrizine..
Take a multivitamin tablet daily..
Suck ice and drink plenty of cool water.
Maintain a good oral hygiene..
Avoid spicy and hot foods..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
