What Causes Burning Sensation On The Scalp And Neck With Recurring Migraines?

I have a strong burning pain on my scalp and neck that changes areas. It can last up to a week then is gone for weeks or a month and comes back. This has been happening for about 10 months. I have a history of very frequent migraines X 13 years. As well as shingles on my eye twice a year for the last 13 years.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I think this burning and itching sensation in head and neck is caused by shingles rather than by migraine. I think you can have shingles vaccine to avoid frequent recurrence.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
